The inauguration of the new batch 2022-23 was organized for students of all the courses namely B.Com., B.Com., (Data analytics)., BBA and BCA. The chief guest Dr M C Prakash addressed the gathering. He enlightened the audience about the importance of student life.

 Orientation to all the first-year students were scheduled with the Group orientation, Course orientation, Computer lab orientation, Activities orientation, NEP orientation, Library orientation, Scholarship orientation and infrstructure visit.

The purpose of the IQAC Academic Audit is to evaluate the performance of the various departments and Institution and give suggestions for further improvement of the quality of teaching, research, and curricular and extra-curricular activities. In view of this, IQAC of our college has organized IQAC Audit by an External Member Dr. Aloysius Edward J., IQAC Director, Kristu Jayanthi College, Bangalore. Sir has given many suggestions in documentation process.

Faculty Development Programme on Outcome Based Education

A Faculty Development Programme on Outcome Based Education was organized to develop the knowledge about Outcome based Education among the faculty members of the institution.

Sir gave brief introduction about OBE which includes Program Outcomes (PO), Program Specific Outcomes (PSO), and Course Outcomes (CO). He also added OBE should be implemented in Curriculum, Teaching Learning, Assessment. He insisted to prepare a proper well defined criterion for measuring the Outcomes. Later he explained the procedure to measure the attainment with example.

Insights were given to the Faculty members based on the suggestions and feedback given by Dr. Aloysius Edward J.

Inauguration of new batch (2022-2023) of first year Post  Graduate Programme was organized on 4th January 2023. The Chief Guest of the event was Smt. Lakshmi V, Hon.Secretary, MLA and President was Dr.P.V. Padmaja, Principal, MLA Academy of Higher Learning.

After the inauguration part of the programme, group orientation for students on various topics such as Self Introduction, Rules and Regulations of the college and Bangalore Central University, Usage of Notice Board, Students Induction Program to get to know how did they come to know about the college, reason for choosing the college, reason for choosing M. Com, Anti Ragging etc. and Course Orientation was conducted in Seminar Hall by Mr. Sandesh. Library, Computer lab, Scholarship orientation was also scheduled on day 2 and day 3.

An orientation for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) is a process that familiarizes learners with the platform, course structure, tools, and expectations before they begin their online learning journey. Ms. Kamala & Ms. Shobha, in house faculty members given the orientation with the Introduction to the Course Platform, followed by Course Overview: An overview of the course content, including the topics, modules, and learning objectives shared. They also informed the teachers that the same orientation to be given to all the students to enroll in at least one MOOC Course in the academic year.

Teachers who had received orientation on MOOC in the Faculty Study Circle gave orientation to all students on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), encouraging them to enroll in at least one MOOC course during the academic year. Orientation was scheduled during their Class hours.

It was done with reference to Annual reports of Academic year 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. The same was presented in the IQAC stake holders meeting held on 30th August 2023.
