Door to Door Awareness on Waste Segregation Year: 10/01/2018

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Forum of MLA Academy of Higher Learning in association with B.PAC an NGO as a part of Green Ambassador program organised a field activity of Door to Door Awareness on waste segregation on 01st October 2018

Blood Donation Camp in remembrance of Smt. Sumithra Champaknath Year: 10/13/2018

On 13th of October 2018 Blood Donation Camp was organised in association with Lions Club International District 317 A and Lions Club of Bangalore Elite in remembrance of Smt. Sumithra Champaknath, Former Member of Malleswaram Ladies’ Association (MLA). The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. P.V. Padmaja, Principal of MLA AHL and dignitaries.

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Forum and Placement Cell of MLA Academy of Higher Learning organised Career Counselling Programme “What next after 12th / PUC” for PU Students of Sevabharathi on 13th of January 2019.

Clean-up Drive Activity Year: 10/24/2018

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Forum of our Institution in association with B.PAC an NGO as a part of Green Ambassador program conducted a Clean-up Drive activity on 24th of October 2018 in the Malleshwaram area (Temple Street) from 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM. Mr. Vinod Kumar, Faculty and 44 Student Volunteers from UG Classes were participated in this activity.

ISR Initiative “Collection Drive” – Contribution to Kerala Flood Victims Year: 08/23/2018

As relief pours in for flood-hit Kerala in the form of Cash and Kind from all over India, our College took initiative and organised a “Collection Drive” during the month of August 2018

Diabetes Awareness Seminar and Diabetic Screening Session Year: 10/05/2018

On 5th of October 2018 Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Forum of MLA Academy of Higher Learning in association with Lions Club of Bangalore Elite organised awareness Seminar on Diabetes in R.R. Auditorium. The Seminar was organised with the purpose of sensitize and increase awareness of Diabetes and its complications among Staff, Students and Public.

ISR Initiative -“Eco Friendly Dustbin Bags Making and Distribution” Year: 08/31/2018

In Bengaluru Garbage crises has been an issue plaguing the city. With the broad intension to sensitise and create awareness among Students and Public regarding the Garbage issue and also develop the habit of responsibly disposing waste, use of more eco-friendly means for maintaining healthy, clean and plastic free environment, Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) forum of our Institution with the immense support and encouragement of our beloved Principal Dr. P.V. Padmaja madam, undertaken an Initiative namely “Making and Distribution of Eco- friendly dustbin bags” prepared from waste newspapers to public during the month of August 2018.

Guest Lecture on Examination Stress Management for SSLC Students Year: 04/02/2019

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) forum had organised a guest lecture on Examination Stress Management for SSLC (10th Standard) students of Govt. High School on 02nd March 2019 in the Palace Guttahalli, Bengaluru. Mr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor of MLA Academy of Higher Learning gave an introductory speech and introduced the Guest Speaker Mr. Shivanagowda G. Patil, Resource Person and trainer of Yoga to the gathering.

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) forum had organised a guest lecture on Examination Stress Management for SSLC (10th Std) students of Sevabharathi on 24th of February 2019 in the BBMP Junior College and Girls High School, Srirampuram, Bengaluru. Mr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor of MLA Academy of Higher Learning gave an introductory speech and introduced the Guest Speaker Mr. Sudhindra. S, consultant and trainer of Yoga and Personality Development to the gathering.

Report on International Yoga Day Year: 06/21/2018

MLA Academy of Higher Learning, Malleswarm, 14th Cross as part of its ISR activity organized International Yoga Day on 21st June 2018 in association with Malleswaram Ladies Association and Adhyatma Yoga Foundation Bangalore. Staff of AHL, MLA SVN English School and MLA High School were given training from Ms. Kinjal Joshi, Yoga teacher from SVYASA, Currently working as trainer at Adhyatma Yoga Foundation trained the participants on 19th and 20th June 2018 in basic Yogaasana’s, Surya Namaskara. On 21st June 2018 the program was conducted between 8:00 a.m to 9:00 a.m in R.R Auditorium

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day-Rally Organized by Lions Club 317-A Cauvery District Year: 10/01/2018

The Lions Club 317-A Cauvery District organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Day on the 1st of October 2018 to acknowledge and appreciate all the blood donors who make it possible to keep the good deed alive. The event served to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood and to raise awareness of the need for regular blood donations to ensure the quality, safety and availability of blood and blood products for patients in need.

On 7th of October 2018, Department of Health Services, Bangalore Urban and Lions Clubs International District 317A represented by Lions Club Bangalore Elite along with Lions Club Aasare organised Plantation Drive at Isolation Hospital, Old Madras Road, Bengaluru as a part of Youth engagement session.

On 14th October 2018, Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Forum of MLA Academy of Higher Learning in association with Lions Club of Bangalore Elite conducted Service Activity and Clean-up drive as a part of Swachh Bharat Activity in an NGO namely Need Base India – Rainbow Home, Jalahalli Village, Jalahalli, Bengaluru.

On 02nd of October 2018 on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Go Native in association with, BBMP, United Way Bengaluru, Namma Nimma Cycle Foundation and Let’s Be The Change organised “Plog Run” in the name of Detox Bengaluru as a part of Swachh Bharat Activity.

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) forum had organised valedictory of Green Ambassador Programme and felicitation to Pourakarmikas of BBMP on 19th March 2019 at 1.30 P.M in Seminar Hall. Dr. Nidaghatta Gangadhar, Senior Scientist, Ms. Sushma, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE)-Solid Waste Management, BBMP, Malleshwaram, Ms. Sandhya Narayan, Member, SWMRT and Ms. Sushma Mahabal, Green Ambassador Programme Head B-PAC were invited as guests and 6 Pourakarmikas of BBMP as special invitees for the programme. Dr. P.V. Padmaja, Principal of MLA Academy of Higher Learning presided over the programme. 45 Student volunteers attended the program.

Intercollegiate Competition on Environment Sustainability Year: 10/16/2018

The MLA Academy of Higher Learning conducted an intercollegiate competition on environment sustainability in association with Lions Club on 16-10-2018, Tuesday at 10:30.A.M in seminar hall. The main theme for the presentation was “Building Next Generation Environmentally Sustainable Urban Neighborhoods”. The competition was open for students from all the streams including under graduation and post-graduation courses. There were 9 teams from other colleges and 11 teams from Academy of Higher Learning.
